The Gap’s Music Mentoring Workshops have given first-time performance opportunities to many young singers and musicians. This year Scott Williamson will oversee these workshops.
Born locally, Scott has been in love with music from a very young age. Performing live since the age of 11, and writing his first song at the age of 15, he is a graduate of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music in Dublin.
His band, Scott and the Wildcards headlined the Gig@TheGap in 2018.
His debut EP ‘You and Me’ featured the American singer/songwriter and ‘Walk The Line’ actor Tyler Hilton. And his single ‘Give Me Something’ quickly jumped to number 1 on the iTunes Rock Download Charts and was chosen as Hot Press ‘Track of the Day’.
Workshops will take place one evening a week during June/July in the Barn@TheGap pub.
